Was maybe just because we were playing Hull, but he reminded me of O Hara, or was it Leuluai who used to play for them with socks round their ankles? Seem to remeber them having quite a lazy style too, if he is as good as either of them, he'll do ok.
Tweet from @martinoffiah 23/08/2011: 'Must admit i did love watching Saints- Cunningham Joynt Longy Tommy then Leon, last classic RL team ever'. Even the dark side can't help but love the rebellion.
I think Royce would stick with Ashe for the time being. We could see Makinson come back in once fit, but if Ashe makes a good impression, then Royce seems like the kind of coach who'd keep a winning team together.
I thought he had a great debut. He was solid under the high ball, has a lovely step and very NRL like hands. Only problem is that he looks really, really slow, but that might just be the result of his recent injury.
But for me he's as good as Wello already if you take away Wello's willingness to run through a brick wall, eat it then rebuild it if it helps the cause.

It was only his first game so let's not get to carried away. Let's just hope today gave him some confidence.
I'd pick him at fullback next week in the challenge cup.
