SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

I think you should also give some credit to young Lee Mossop who was outstanding for Wigan when he came onto the field.

He was 22 in January and Farrell is only 20.

Ok, thought I'd read or heard he's older.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Who knows what the interchange plan was. But by half time we where down by 2. So what ever the plan, it had to be rewritten.

When you listen to the interview, Royce mentions that the 2 injuries messed us about with our planned interchanges.

Royce may very well have planned for more frequent changes for Graham and TP in the 2nd half, getting them to do shorter stints but on and off for a quick rest in between, as it was he couldn't and so had to rejuggle the pack.

If we had one of Perry, Clough, flannery, the pack rotation would have been alot easier as TP could have been replaced by flannery, or Graham replaced by clough.

As it was we just ran out of numbers in the end. But even then it was down to the last minute before Wigan won.

Had you named those teams before 5pm yesterday, most would have took Wigan to take us to the cleaners, as it was they where close to losing it against a team, that was down to nothing.

We would have done, but, he didn't support Wigan as a lad. :MOTOR:

Watching Saints is so much better than last year but I think Royce needs to think about the interchange usage - especially when big hitters like Clough and Perry are out.

When we have Jammer and TP playing [the A Team] we looked awesome at timrs. However, playing without them for 10-15mins either side of half time [the B Team] killed us today - we scored 0 and conceded 16. I understanding starting them both but from then on we really need to spell them in such a way to avoid not having both on the field for a significant period like we did today.

Great effort, but I think Royce missed a trick here. Anyone agree?

I said the same thing at the game, for those periods in the game we just didnt compete and we wen helped by not being able to kick ourselves out of trouble either. I do think Royce needs to have a think about it but sadly it's mainly down to the fact were so thin on the ground :(

Yet another Rogues pointless post ... what has Lee Mossop got to do with Royce's sub tactics? Nothing. Do they not have limits on internet time in your old folks home?

This is where we missed Gaskell, he has been the kicker in chief in recent weeks, kicking for Lomax has been of a more limited role.

But when you have out injured 4 half backs, then any team would be struggling to have a first grade kicking game. There are so many if's and but's that could have changed the result of that game, both before and during the game. It was just one of those things that it was amazing we even got that close.

But that's the past now and we could debate that just 1 change, to our injuries or 1 decision it would have been a different game, as it was we were probably as good as we could have been. It's gone, it's 2 points and even though we are shot to pieces, I'm more confident over the Cas game. Really shocked to see them lose a 24 -4 lead at home. That Kear is one classy motivator. We are still in the hunt only 1 point of the leaders. There is alot of Rugby to be played and when we get some bodies back we can start to pick off those pesky above us, we still have a return fixture with Wigan and surely we will not suffer a similar set of circumstances for that match, also they have a tough run, in the month they play us and they do not look the side of last year. So lots to play for COYS.......

Great paragraph, that is.

I just hope we start getting players back soon. It's so sad to see us play so very well for those 30 minutes prior to losing Wheeler, so knowing that we could really take it to everyone this season, and yet injuries are undermining us left, right and centre.
