IMO Cas are in a false position. Yes they have done well and well done to them, but they still have to play Saints, Wigan, Wire and Leeds.

Clough is apparently having nerve problems as a result of his shoulder injury. He has a weakened arm at the moment, according to Simmons in the RL press. So don't be shocked not to see him over Easter.

If Jammer hasn't done any actual damage to his sternum (ie just bruising) then he will need to play. We can't do without him AND Perry against Wigan. A groin problem is a tougher one to assess, though, isn't it, as evidenced by Pryce ...

Good to know that our other big guys - TP and Soliola - can do long minutes if need be. Although whether they could manage that against a tougher side in Wigan, I don't know.

Speaking to a member of the medical team, they're very hopeful of a return for Clough. Conformation of Jammer will be announced as usual in the press conference tomorrow but at the moment it is likely he will play with injections. Pryce was pushed back into the fray too early and they don't want to risk that with Perry after Pryce's outcome so he will undergo a full assessment later this week and will be decided upon off the back of that.

BUT, they have beat Hudds so you never know. I would however be inclined to agree with you.

They'd hammer Leeds at the moment

I also agree with that. The key to beating Cas IMO is beating Rangi Chase. If you can keep him quiet then you have a very good chance of winning.

He is a big player for them yes but they are also not a 1 man band but if we play till the full 90 when we play them and Huddz then i think we will beat them both and hopefully we can eventually build a good kicking game from somewhere :)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that they're a one man team. They have a hard working pack and some excellent young players coming through in the backs. I just think a lot of their flair and attack goes through Rangi and shutting him down would go a long way to stopping their threat.

Also, if we get our team playing 90 minutes they will put plenty points on as the game will be unopposed for 10.

Beware Dean Widders. Deceptively fast for a 'fat lad'.

One of the best comments by Mick Morgan when Widders went 80 metres from an interception against Bradford at Odsal last year (or maybe 2009).
