[quote='Fishsta"']I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.

Another classic:
[quote='Fishsta']You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".
I would rather us pinch Sidlow from Salford. He looks a great prospect. It is good to see we are looking round the lower leagues for talent. It has been a while since we have done so.
A few people have mentioned Sidlow, but Id be delighted If we signed Hill. Id say he's a certain England forward In the next 3-5 years. Id imagine there's more than a few clubs interested though.
The signing does open the door for the Bulldogs to attract a big name signing, with Greenburg admitting the club was still very keen to lure English international prop James Graham.
"We're interested, absolutely ... people have told me there's a deal that has beendone but that's not the case," Greenburg told AAP.
"We're still having discussions with his management but that may take some time.
"(Losing Idris) may (help us secure Graham), but they're not mutually exclusive."
The last line irritates me. Obviously they are not mutually exclusive because if they were then it would mean that it's not possible for both idris to leave and Graham to join. But it is possible so I don't see his point!

I think what he means is they didn't sell Idris so that Graham could be specifically brought in.
