To be fair, what did everyone expect Jammer to say in a room full of Saints fans? "yeah i've signed for *insert NRL team here*, I'll be out of this town as fast as i can thanks"
It will take a monumental effort for us to keep Jammer, but what he did say that i believe is that its the biggest decision of his life, and he rightly should take his time over it

Correct.

What I have never understood is that fans (of all clubs) expect to be privvy to all the players private dealings.

Eastmond is a prime example. I've yet to see anything quoted from him directly as to where his future lies, but fans think he should "come clean"
We need to realise that this is the real world we live in and not a tv reality show.

Brian McDermott paraphrased Peter Fox.
"He'd say if we had 13 Bernard Dwyers we wouldn't lose many RL games. It's the same for us with JJB"

Re: Jammer... : Sun Feb 06, 2011 8:23 pm
if jammer ever wants to earn the respect of being a great of rl then he has to move to the nrl
only then has he has got the opportunity to prove himself to the aussies!
surely jammer has to follow in the footsteps of moz,gaz ellis and sam burgess

i'm sure that jammer has the ability to make it in the nrl,i hope that he takes it and rips into em :D

Same with Eastmond. If he doesn't sign before the Wigan game on Sunday, put him up for sale to the highest bidder. I'm sure Russell Crowe would bid and if did Moranovich wouldn't be far behind.

For everyone who were there on Saturday, its was clear that Jammer is torn between his genuine loyalty to the club and and the massive opportunity he has in front of him (in terms of lifestyle change) with the NRL.

Its a big decision and not one he will, or should take lightly.

If you asked me for a gut feeling, I'd say he will go to Australia.

I think he will stay to be honest - hes a saints mon through and through and although he has a great oppurtunity in front of him to move over to Aus, I think leading Saints into the new ground and a new era will tempt him to stay.

Plus the fact itll cost him his wages every week to buy a decent amount of suncream ;)

better to regret something you did than something you didnt, you will always wonder what might of been.

If he wants to be classed as world class he has to go ouver to Aus and mix it with the best in the world, he can always come back, bigger and better as Moz did.

I personally thing he will go, and much as I dislike his dummy splitting, best of luck to him.

Every player needs to put himeslf and his family first. If jammer can make a better life, eaern more money by going to oz then who can blame him?

It's the way the player goes about his move which matters to the club and fans ( TORRES FOR EXAMPLE). It's pretty clear that jammer loves saints as he's said many times, he's give everything for saints in every game he plays and he's always been honest in the fact he'd like to try out the NRL.

Jammer should make the right choice for him, if that means the NRL then i will wish him all the best and thank him for the great years service he's give saints.

He has handeld the whole situation very well without showing any lack of respect to saints.

On the other hand, i think kyle eastmond has no respect for the club thats give him the chance to be the player he is. He's never come out and said he loves the club or been honest and said he wants to stay or go.

IMO kyle will go where the most money is which i don't blame him for but he should just be honest and make his mind up. Going to union games as a guest is showing lack of respect to the club.

If im being honest, i'd rather see saints get shut off kyle, his heart is not at saints.
