Have to agree - although he was never error-prone, he did nothing to excite the fans or make us realise his presence. If it wasn't for our injury crisis, he would never have gotten anywhere near the first team.

Good luck to the lad in the future, but I certainly won't be losing any sleep over his departure.

I think he's a very competent player but he wasn't given the opportunity to play at first grade level on a regular basis. I'd be interested to see what Kear does with him over a full season. He could really progress under those circumstances.

If him moving on gives another young player a shot at first team rugby then it's a good thing as he was average at best.

It will be interesting to see who plays centre when Shenton is injured. Assume that Soliola and Wheeler are also crocked as per usual.

I spoke to a close relative of Chris's at the Grand final, just before the game. He said that Chris had three offers from SL clubs.

What was interesting was his appraisal of the training under Mick Potter. "Far to much emphasis on strength and size, and not enough on speed"

He reckoned that Chris was almost a stone over his best playing weight.

It'll be interesting to see how he goes at Wakey. I hope he does well as he is a good Billinge, Wigan supporting lad.

I think we all knew this, should suit bradford (of 10 years ago) really well!

Family of discarded player blame coach shocker.

If he had offers from four Super League clubs and chose Wakefield I suggest his agent may not be giving him the best advise either.
