It is true, there's no point having an injured superstar, might as well have a solid performer. But i don't know of anybody available of notable enough talent to take the spot. Perhpas the club signed him for the long term, knowing he may be missing some of the first games. Although it may not be a great tactic as we dont have one of our top signings present for the start of the season, the likes of Jammer, LMS and Puletua, backed up by some of the youngsters (e.g Frodsham) may be able to hold the fort until Perry's return.

If there is a problem, I wouldn't be suprised if its down to his previousl injury, that sounded a bad one (dislocated tibia!?), although he did return before the end of the season, didn't he? Thee has to be a better reason than a hairline fracture, though. I think we need more detials before we worry.

I like the fact it took the OP's post for everbody come out the woodwork and says it's true and that they've heard the same. I'll believe it when Saints announce it.

I have no particular like or dislike of any Saints players (although Johnny Walsh was one of my favourites) and don't want to see any player, from any club injured.

He's probably assuming Jammer will have signed for Wigan and Tony P will have been jailed for eating Michael Shenton.
