"Have me on board?" , (checks if stadium pictures thread has been deleted) , and I didnt know it was mandatory to have the words "St Helens" in your profile , I usually call em "Saints" myself , and before you say anything else I am a born and Bred Sintelliner actually born IN St Helens as opposed to Whiston but being serious , Im not having a go at anyone about this I dont have a problem with the towns name not being mentioned on the shirt or the banner for that matter, I respect you guys who do and we will have to agree to disagree on this one m see you in Widnes next year .

Nothing wrong with The Entertainers. We've been called The Entertainers for years and I can even remember an Open Rugby season preview from around 1988 which said for the following year that there will be entertainment with a capital E at Knowsley Road. A premonition of the forthcoming second summer of love no doubt too.

That's probably because we were entertaining in 1988 and always were up until 2005. However, from the moment this site adopted the name, we have been as entertaining as 90 minutes with Roberto Mancini. It's now a totally false label.

So 17 years of entertainment and 4 years of less so. Sounds like we're perfectly entitled to keep it for now.

Who's to say we won't be the entertainers again in 2011?

Rubbish. Last year was one of the most entertaining and exciting I've seen from our point of view.

From yours, maybe! The 2010 Grand Final was the height of entertainment, I'm sure. Well, if you were a Wigan fan anyway. But to me it summed up just what had been wrong with the team for at least a season and a half.

If what you need for you to consider Saints to be exciting and entertaining is a shed full of injuries, poor ball control, poor tactics, poor personnel choices, poor discipline, (relatively) poor defence, limited attacking options (except when Pryce and Eastmond brought their individual skill to the show) and failure to win trophies then I think you'll find yourself in a minority.

Do you think that 2006, the season we won the lot, gave us more entertaining games than 2010?

We were dull as dishwater that year, but very very effective with it.

I enjoyed 2006 more than I enjoyed 2010. I enjoy it when my team plays well, not when it plays like it did at the Grand Final. You may call that exciting; I call it crap.

So you are disputing all those factors then? No surprise there!

We happened to have some very committed players who didn't give up. It shows what can be done with a team of committed players. However, commitment alone won't win a Grand Final and all those factors I mentioned were shown up in their glory during the Grand Final.

No good getting to Grand Finals only to keep losing them.

But aside from all that, the point was about enjoyment.
