He always has a shocker come the play off's and usually saves it for the Grand Final, seems he got it out of his system in the semi this season...Get a tenner on him for first try

Does anybody really believe this? we beat Hull and then lost 3 times to a Leeds team that played well on the day and deserved to beat us...It's not like we've never won there or lost to bad teams when we've been beaten.

First two, yes, last year though we were the better side, we just failed to convert chances and that Bentham moment finished us off. Since our GF record overall is 4 wins and 3 losses, its hardly a jinx.

can Wigan overcome the jinx of never having beaten Saints in a Grand Final???

Other things to note for the statisticians out there:

- Never in the history of the rugby league (115 years) have Wigan beaten St Helens in a Super League Grand Final.
- Saints have a 100% record of winning Super League Grand Finals against Wigan.
- Keiron Cunningham has never lost a Super League Grand Final when the opposing team has been from Wigan.
- Saints have a 100% record of winning Super League Grand Finals in a year that ends in a zero.
- Wigan have a 100% record of losing Super League Grand Finals in a year that ends in a zero.

Looking at the stats, I cant see anything other than a Saints victory.

I think the best team in SL history was when Saints won the BBC team of the year.
I thought at the time they where the best team in the world

Leeds have been right up there for the last few years, but that Saints team was awesome.
Shame for Leeds and England they lost JP and Mcguire
They could have won the grand final again

The first three stats all say the same thing though? That saint's hasn't lost to wigan in a grand final.

However pleasant reading them stats are, i fear they may be irrelevant to saturday's game. Wigan have plenty confidence and probably won't even give these stats a second thought.

They are not the best team in Super League history. Statistically in terms of Grand Final wins they are, but they have never come close to a treble or even a Grand Final/Challenge Cup double.

We lost to the better team on the day in 2007 and 2008 but in the latter of the two, we had been by far the best team that season. Both times we were favourites and both times we under-performed. Last year, they were by far the best team over the season yet we could and maybe should have won the Final.

Three years on the bounce is certainly going to play on everyone's mind, so whilst it might not be a 'jinx' or a 'curse' now, it most certainly will be if it becomes four.

Think you will prevail on Saturday. You have too many players with points to prove or want to leave with a bang. Cunningham and Wellens seem to have found another gear last few weeks and haven't run out of steam yet. Soliola needs a big game to kick start next season and other players leaving will want the same.
