I thought Eddie Hemmings was going to explode when the booing started. "HOW FICKLES ARE THESE FANS!" he kept shouting!

He made another smarmy comment in the second half when Wire started to comeback - "They're not booing now, are they?"

I can't say I blame the Wire fans for booing at halftime with the showing Wire put on in the first 40. It must have been a real disappointment for Wire fans to experience that after the heady heights of Wembley and holding second spot for so long. I think in the off season Tony Smith will devise a wet weather game plan because Wire looked like we used to look in the rain: trying to play a dry weather game and losing the plot as a result.

Is there a team that throws the ball into touch as much as Wire?

I'd ban fans wearing replica shirts if I were them, to avoid the confusion.

Certainly in matches against ourselves, I can't think of a team to throw the ball into touch against us as much as Wire. And they seem to do it an awful lot in other matches on telly Ive seen against other sides....

Well played Hudds, didnt really to much fancy dan stuff did they. Wire looked a bit lost, not much talk between the players, a fair few heads seemed down, and still liked to go wide regardless of the conditions, they just looked jaded, which is something they usualy look the weef after playing Saints. Its not just the saints game they usualy lose, its the week, or in some cases weeks after the game they lose, its always been an issue for them through superleague. Hudds sure didnt help themselves in the 2nd half though, seemed a bit to cautious for me, but got there in the end I guess.
