I think he'd still be a good signing for us, even at 31.
He's one of the best half-backs in Super League and has been for a few years now. His organisation, control and leadership is exactly what we need and exactly what Fages needs alongside him. He scores and creates tries and has a good kicking game.
I keep hearing people talking about his supposedly horrific injury record but it's not half as bad people think. All being well, this will be the 3rd season on the trot he's played at least 20 SL games.
As long as he isn't our only major signing for 2017 then I'd be happy. He would only be a part of what we need.
He'd improve us a bit. He's not a Sandow level player that would instantly improve our chances of winning a trophy. As mentioned, it's too late for this signing, we should have got him when he moved to Widnes.
He's clearly a decent player, but is he a #promisedland signing? Is he going to bring us trophies? No, I don't think he is. If he's the senior foil for Richardson coming through maybe there is an arguement for it, but I doubt KC has that kind of foresight. KC's 'development' of young players is pathetic at best.
My feelings about KC will cloud any signing we make at the moment. Why are we allowing that clown to be involved in the signings we're making? It's only going to set us back another 2 or 3 years. What we should be doing is hiring an experienced NRL coach and giving them the choice of players, not KC.
