Just watching Wire v Hull and thiniking those are 2 sides that have recruited well over the last few seasons.

How long is it since we signed a proper world class big name?

TBF, both Walsh and Masoe were big signings. And before his injury, Walsh looked the part. Meanwhile I think Masoe was inconsistent, but I can't help thinking our pack would be better with him in it today.

Nothing for years before or since, though.

Mose wasn't a big name at all. He didn't make full new Zealand squad ever so opted for Samoa. He is Avg nrl player.

It's not only your Sika Manu and Pritchard Scott Taylor was in very high demand.

It's not only Sandow and Gidley at Wire the likes of Clark and Currie have signed big long term deals.

There's is no chance they're only spending the cap same with Catalans. Carney, Stewart, Taylor all SOO players add that to Inu, Anderson and Richards. No chance.

But I'm not knocking these clubs its ambition.

Fc couldn't sign lee smith as we didn't have enough cap space. We have plenty of local lads on our playing roster who won't be on mega bucks. Pritchard is our marquee signing so I believe fc are playing by the rules

A big chunk of pritchard's salary is being paid by the doggies. manu short of options in NRL so won't be on mega bucks. Our other overseas players won't be on massive contracts

Sneyd was being chased by every man and his dog, Gaz Ellis the whole of SL was fighting for his signature. Tuimavavd and Fanou only young and would get a gig in NRL.

Like I said credit to Hull for showing ambition your now reaping the rewards.

Koukash mentioned in his conference that he offers star money to 6 players who turned him down for better money elsewhere 3 of those are now at Catalans worth over 600k between them and that's not mentioning Todd Carney. So even if Carney is the Marquee that means the other 21 members of the squad share 1.1 million.

It's not hard to get up their challenging if you get recruitment spot on in this league. Hull, Warrington and catalan recruited well and they shot up the league this year and now looking top teams.

If we signed 4 good quality players next year we would be up there but our recruitment is utterly shocking last few years.

We all thought Tasi would take some of the work as mose only did it when he felt like it. But God we would kill for a mose.
