Some bad news for England today - George Burgess is out of the test series against NZ. That does, though, make it all the more certain, if it wasn't entirely certain already, that Walmsley will be in the England 17 for the series.

Yeah, I think you're right. I suppose the more interesting question is whether this will tempt SM to bring in Cuthbertson.

In other news, Big Al has made the three-man shortlist for the Steve Prescott Man of Steel award, alongside Adam Cuthbertson and Zak Hardaker.

On Walmsley being named on the MOS shortlist. Congrats to the lad, been a massive player for us and well done to whoever recommended him to us, he's became a top player and someone that everyone in Super League wants in their team.

I think Cuthbertson has already won MOS. The PR campaign Sky kept up for a few months was vomit inducing. He's had plenty of games this year where he's not been effective at all. Anyone got a quick stats comparison? I'd expect he'd only be beating Walmsley in offloads and potentially tackles as he's on for longer?

Walmsley is way ahead on metres and tackle busts, while Cuthbertson is out on his own with offloads and has the edge on try assists, clean breaks and tackles.
