Never my favorite player at his time with us as he never really committed himself to Saints with still living in Yorkshire and commuting everyday which probably took it's toll?

But how good is he playing this season for Cas? making him captain has worked wonders for them?

Quality player and I was v happy when we signed him, as you say though sadly he did not really settle and he wasnt helped by us playing with no halfback and for the most part being poorly coached (imo).

It's great from an international point of view to see him back to his best though

Was delighted when he signed - didn't quite work out, but again delighted he's having a great year.

Always came across as a top bloke and someone who gave his all on the pitch.

He did get a bad injury in the final which didnt help things

A certain Mr Newlove used to commute daily to Saints from Fev and it didn't do him any harm.

I think during our glory year didn't we have a bus load coming over the Pennines?

Clearly Shenton wasn't happy at Saints. He's now happy again.

He's a class player in this league Shenton and I'm glad for him that he's showing it again. Should definitely be in with a shout of that left centre berth for England in the autumn.

Funny how some don't travel well even if it's only an hour or two away, all that Scott Taylor business at Wigan is strange to me.
