I know it's a dying club, but what's left of it seems to be being suffocated by the RFL. Surely in the past every London away game should have been played on a Saturday or Sunday night. Thu/Fri night kick offs are as useless to London fans as a fish with tits. Most people finish work at 5. What chance do their fans have of getting up North in time? Any school age fans have no chance.

Simply calling it London was a mistake in itself...yet again, how can you call them anything when they move around more times than gypsies.

The sad thing is, I don't think the RFL will learn from it.

tbf its the same with any thursday/friday night away game. If i'm lucky i get home at 6, usually 7 if not later and i cant make it to away games then

On this side of the hill, Thursday and Friday games should only be between
Wire, Wigan, Saints, Widnes and Salford.
That gives Sky 20 fixtures a year in itself.
Hull Derby is another 2 fixtures.
Plus all the Yorkshire fixtures.

I know Sky want their viewers in front of a box being fed the bread and butter adverts but surely full stadiums with raucous crowds help with the viewers experience?

I work shifts in Leyland and its a pain in the ass when i'm on lates getting to the games. Not a probs tonight though

The RFL should look at making the the Thursday fixtures more convenient for fans. They should keep is so the travel distance is reasonable.

Without being disrespectful to London but why the hell are sky putting London on tv against Leeds the other week and saints tonight ? It doesn't look good to the occasional rugby viewer watching a team run riot against another team in a empty stadium.

I'm not saying don't show London but please pick games that on paper will attract the neutral viewer.

I was having the same discussion with my Dad last night, as that’s who i go the games with. He said pretty much the same thing. Agree 100%

It's just crazy!


I just can't see the point in what sky are doing. They usually jump on the London band wagon but seem to going all out to show them getting smashed.

Just can't understand Sky, if the score gets to 50 or over, many viewers who are not read die hard RL fans will switch off, it's not a good advert for the game.

Beat Saints? Rea was interviewed yesterday just before they left for St Helens for the podcast, and I turned off after a few minutes, he was so boring, so uninspiring, feel for our young players, Tony was brought back when we were in a mess, but he should have gone at the end of that season. Sad that it never worked out with Sean Long, I really thought he could have made a real difference!

Tony Rea is the cancer of London but don't understand why they keep going back to him.

A good young coach with modern thoughts is needed and ideally british. Look at the job Powell has done at Cas.
