London on Thursday - massive game? : Sun Apr 27, 2014 7:34 am
I don't know why but I've got a sneaky feeling that our game on Thursday against London will end up being a close call. Brown should put our first choice 17 out, but I suspect we will see a makeshift team similar to Widnes last week, and as a result, London will prove to be a tougher test than the table suggests. We really do need to wrack up some points, not only for confidence, but because the league positions could come down to points difference at the back end of the season.

If Brown shafts us again with a weakened team selection for what could be important home game, will you feel short changed as a season ticket holder?

I think he will pick a strong team but suspect Walsh, Amor and the pansy (turner) won't play.

Walsh obviously has done his elbow.

Amor played with rib damage and now facing a long spell out with his knee.

Pansy (turner) chipped a nail.

I think we will beat London by a decent score but the bulls will beat us the following week.

Agree, he will put out his strongest team thats available, I'm hoping Brown does make a statement and drop LMS and Turner though.

Why was Lance not in the 17 yesterday was he injured or just not selected, I'm hoping it wasn.t the latter.

yep, big game confidence wise. We could do with racking up a big score, i'd settle for a win and not dropping the ball on the first carry!

I can't see a big score but if we did, certain people will be spouting "we're back" etc.

A win is a must as I think we will lose the following week.

Our goal in the next two games should be to physically bully London and Bradford. We need to set out to make those games horrible experiences for our opposition. If we do that the score will look after itself.

You're predicting we'll lose against Bradford? We're not that bad!

Yes. These games are a test of attitude and will to win now. We have nothing left but the league, so every league game is now our sole purpose. Doing "just enough" to win is not acceptable. This is where Saints should be demonstrating that they have the ruthlessness to put teams to the sword, and keep stabbing the corpse.

Point difference might well decide play-off placings come the end of the year. London and Bradford are terrible. We should be racking up very large scores against them, or there really will have to be questions asked about the players' commitment and desire to win.

Currently Bulls are weaker than we are at London? it should be a walk in the park both matches, Saints need to do what they are good at that is all, they don't need to be nasty or hard! 80 plus score lines do the game no good, even if it is the points difference that counts.
