His odds at Sky & bet victor are 4/1 and 5/1 respectively for man of steel. How many others got on at 50/1? It was a crazy price at the time but looks even more crazy after his debut match. The 6/4 for Saints to finish in the top 4 early doors is also looking a steal at the moment. Although I am not counting my chickens just yet I do hope that LW stays injury free and at least gets a fair crack at the MOS trophy. I bet the same guy wont be setting the odds next year!

so happy with my 50/1 , if he stays fit next years season ticket is already paid for

4/1 is a far more stupid price than 50/1.

Not doubting Walsh's ability, but it is a very long season and it would take a lot for an Aussie Scrum Half to win that award.

The Albert Goldenthorpe trophy on the other hand...

I know he's a kiwi, no sorry English but Chase won it a couple of years ago.

Not impossible, but it would take a lot.

I'd be wanting at least double figures before I even contemplated backing Walsh. I'd even make Roby favoured before him.

He's definitely up there, but he doesn't have a 20% chance.

well i agree with you there. 4/1 when its a race with over 200 people in (and probably 10 - 20 genuine contenders) is daft.

I also put a few quid on Roby at 20/1 at the same time.

I can understand why sky are now 4/1 after getting caught out at 50's but not too sure why bet victor has him at only 5/1.

I was hoping for Saints to have a big season this year so also had a MOS bet on Roby (22/1) & Lomax (25/1).

With my even money bet to finish in the top 4 covering all my MOS bets I feel pretty happy with myself ATM and can't wait for Friday's first home match.

No doubt that they are some very decent long term positions to have - even once the boost from Week 1 disappears.

I think I may of posted the odds originally but not 100% on that one. However, I got it at 50/1 and told all my mates so let’s hope he wins!!!
