Not if the RFL put up the cap or better still get rid of it.

If the dr wants to spend more on players, why doesnt he buy Ratchford back from wire for next season? under the new home grown rules he can pay him whatever he wants

He may already be looking at it, he's mentioned several times that he has players lined up for 2015. It'll be interesting though, because we seem good in the halves/fullback and players in those positions are all on longer deals than 1 year.

Here's a question. If the Dr gets bored with RL and walks away, where will that leave Salford? My guess is even with squad now, let alone extra marquee players you'd go bust within 6 months

Oh right I didn't seem that bad to me? how many clubs went into administration back then? I seem to have forgot.

And to answer your question.
If my auntie had a pair of balls she'd be my uncle, fact is near enough every single team in SL are reliant on benefactors even St Helens, there are no club that makes enough profit to keep the club going full time and to pay the bills and so on.

Why don't you give Chelsea or Man City a ring and tell them what if abramovich or Mansour got up and went? Tell them they better stop spending billions JUST INCASE??

Well back to the match, I do wonder about the date that has been set? Seems pretty close to the CC final date? Are Salford assuming they won't make the final this year??

The chairmen of Wigan and Leeds (the only currently profitable clubs) both want the salary cap to remain. Neither are shy of a few quid either. Does that at least not imply the salary cap is a good thing?
A year ago you'd have been crying foul if one team wanted to be able to spend what they wanted on players !
