Saints injury curse hits Luke Walsh : Sat Jun 15, 2013 5:14 pm
Luke Walsh left the game today with a knee injury. Not sure how bad it is as yet.

No problem for the Saints medical and conditioning team that. They'll have hime fit and back on the playing field in.... er... a year... and then with a limp.

Just to put that in some context, he left the field without help when there were 2 minutes to go and the game was already gone. It looked more like a niggle than a serious injury.

I thought he had another good game. A couple of his kicks were just off target, but he generally did a good job of dictating play.

Mose did longer stints this weekend (closer to 2x20). He really does skittle people when he hits the ball up, but he still looks pretty unfit.

I've not seen Mose play at all. Do you think he will go well? Will his fitness be a problem In a already unfit front row?

Mose doesn't look unfit. He should be called The Mountain or The Hound. He just lacks stamina but he is coming back from injury isn't he?

He'll provide us with go forward that we've been badly missing, and he'll scare some people too. In two of his hit ups he sent the first defender flying 5m backwards and got a quick play the ball.

I'm a bit worried about him in defence though - he seems to either join tackles as the last man or hover at the side of a tackle covering the offload. Basically he looks to me like he doesn't enjoy defending and tries to get away with doing as little as possible. Against the quicker, smarter sides like Wigan that could be exposed. If you ran straight at him two or three times in a set he looks like he'd be too knackered to contribute for the next few minutes.

Rogues compared him to Feka a few weeks ago. He looks better than Feka to me (certainly not as out of shape), but he does have similar weaknesses.

I know teams used to do spot sets on Feka where we was told to run at Feka every tackle to get him tired, I'm sure Mose with have a few spot sets on him.

Our front row is a worry for me next year if it is Mose, Walsmley, Laffranchi, Beaumont and lms as our first choice props. Three of them can't last 20 mins and one might not last 2 mins with injury.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

Mose has the size of an eighteen wheeler but the engine of a Peugeot 107.

So he's better than Feka then.

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

He sounds similar to big Maurie rather then Feka, a 15 min wrecking ball for each half should be good for starters.
