Five missed tackles by Gardner says a lot about the scoreline IMO. Sia as top tackler and top metre maker (with Thompson and Walmsley not far behind on the metres made and Howarth and Jones not far behind in the tackling stats). However, we didn't really make any metres! TP clearly not running his weight again. Must be because he was actually up against opposition. LMS even worse, and probably for the same reason, with four missed tackles to add on. Only Jones, Clough and Percival missed no tackles.

Pretty poor stats overall.

That's no shock tho. Its the same everytime he comes up against a big physical set of forwards.

Like I've been banging on a out for the last two years, Royce Simmons has set us back years. I said it at the time and I stick by it now. It was Royce who brought in Lance to play as a halfback, we are struggling big time in the halves. It was Royce who brought in Laffranchi to play prop and we can't make a meter.

The go forward is not very good, but neither are the missed tackles. Both really don't help. Falling off the tackles puts us automatically on the back foot and just lets Warrington charge up the field. So we are always going to be starting from our own 20.

Not exactly, if we did have go forward and made the 40m line and put a deep kick in, the other team will be starting from their 20m.

Our go forward has absolutely nothing to do with missed tackles. They are two totally separate things.

I play stand off and I kick and I certainly wouldn't like to be kicking on last tackle from in my own 20m line as its a very very tough kick to make. Its a hoof and hope type kick which makes the kicker look bad.

My point is, we could have Thurston and benji Marshall in our halves and we wouldn't do much better because even those world class superstars couldn't do anything from in their own 20m zone.
