had a great game for haven today, god that guy took some punishment but never went down, dropped a ball or made an error.Was very solid in attack and defence and looks like a real prospect.

Pleased to see that he had a good game. I must say that I have been impressed by him in the few games that he has played for us this year.

We have some great young forwards coming through at the moment. Greenwood, Walker, Hand, and now Thompson. The next ones to look out for are Greg Richards (from your part of the world up in Barrow) and Andre Savelio.

greenwood played one for us and looked class, were on tv on thursday at leigh sports village v swinton, will be interesting to see if hand plays again

How big does Hand look on the pitch?
I missed his freindly appearences at the beginning of the season, although reports said he did well. If we could get him geared up for firs team action, that would be brilliant.

Has Forster played for you this season? I know he's had a run out or two for Rochdale.

perhaps Brown is trying to groom these two, Tilley and THompson in a nice rounded way to get the best possible contribution by the end of the season for the first team?

I've not seen Thompson yet, but Tilley isn't first team material this season, he's too small.

Can hand play scrum half?

It may be the case, but we need to use the dual reg system to properly check these guys out.

Paul Johnson had very limited 1st team chances when he was at Saints,as he was behind youngsters like Clough, Frodsham, Emmit & Magennis. When he did get a go, he looked to small to be inaffective. It was no suprose to see him moved on.

These days though, Johnson might well be a valuable squad member, given he was decent at Wakey and is impressing at Hull.

Yeah, but we had a full quota of lads around the same age of which he showed the least. Even if saints had tried to keep him on, he may well have chosen to move to give himself more/better oppotunities - which worked for him.
