Tomorrow's game is set up nicely for both sides and its one I am looking forward to! Saints win and we can mount a serious charge for second. Warrington win and beat Wigan on Saturday they will only be one point behind Wigan for finishing 1st. What gives me great hope that we can win tomorrow is our pack is playing very well and has the capability of overpowering Warrington. Perry and Laffranchi are starting to hit top form and they will need to maintain that level of performance against the Warrington starting props which will eithier be Hill/Carvell (most likely) or Morley/Carvell. We can make a real statement of intent and a win would really give us the impetus to finish second.

I think this will be a big test for our pack and we will see just how much we've improved.

This is a test for Laffranchi as well, I think hes had a pretty good season but in certain games he's struggled, it's the big packs he's struggled against and tomorrow we will see if he's now settled in to the prop role.

Laffranchi has been steady all year and had some really good games and as you say tomorrow will be his acid test. Carvell, Hill, Morley and Wood are top rate props and our front row will have a massive job on there hands....

I think we are building nicely. Our defence has been pretty decent of late and some of our bigger name players who have struggled to find form and have come in for criticism seem to be playing much better. In particular Im referring to Perry, Shenton and Hohaia who I think are all now showing what they are capable of. It should be a decent game and no doubt we can beat them having already won at The HJ when our form was less impressive. i do feel we are peaking at the right time for once and we are pretty healthy in respect of injuries and as I have said for a while I think we can again have a real tilt at Old Trafford.

Remarkably we still have a chance of finishing second which given all that has gone on would be a very good achievement. We need to win tomorrow to make this happen.

Another factor I am sure will be Warrington being in the cup final in a couple of weeks. They do seem to always focus on that competition and I would like to see us being quite aggressive with their pack and see how much they want it tomorrow.

Hopefully it will be a bumper crowd at LP and as always in the big games Ithink our support with give the lads some excellent vocal backing. Im excited about the game.

Couple of todays results may go our way too, Catalan losing heavily and Leeds trailing late in the game.

Me too pal. Even if we finished 3rd and Wigan 2nd I would be quite happy going to Wigan in the play offs.

Wigan will finish 1st, it would take a collapse of Saints proportions at the start of the year, to even attempt to finish 2nd.

That's because they're inbred cretins, drunk on the unparalleled success on not being embarassingly **** for a couple of seasons. Only a fool would write off Saints' chances of getting to O/T. It's going to be tough as we'll need to beat Leeds and Warrington or Warrington twice to get there, but I'd never bet against us to pull it out of the bag.
