What they said ^^
It may be different with the kick off time being when it is and it being on a Sunday, you may get away with parking on Tesco as the store will be closed by then, I wouldn't normally advise it on a game night just in case as there are parking restrictions in place and therefore you risk one of those unenforceable 'fines' that are more hassle than they are worth, the same goes for the two retail parks adjacent to the stadium site, Ravenhead Retail Park and St Helens Retail park. You can park on the two multi-storey car parks closest to the Saints Bridge that lead to the stadium for £1 but you have to be out by 11pm, if you don't mind a short walk of 5 minutes or so, the surface car park at North John Street is a) free and b) won't be as difficult to get off as the multi-storey car parks.
Ultimately it depends largely on your preferences, want the security of an indoor car park? closer to the Stadium & opposite a Wetherspoons? don't mind paying a pound? Then I'd recommend the Chalon Way Multi-storey. Want free parking, a possible quicker get away, don't mind an additional few minutes walk? Park on North John Street/Lowe Street South surface car park. Risk-taker? Happy to flaunt private parking regulations and ignore potential unenforceable parking charges? Want to park outside/closer to the stadium? Park on one of the retail parks/Tesco where all of the shops will be closed anyway.
