we have let a healthy lead go.
in the star and reporter all we had from simmons and co (after the hull kr fiasco)
was we have worked on our defence blah..blah..blah..
yea they did for about 35 minutes. wait till they come up against the likes of wigan,leeds,and warrington etc if they defend like that they will get a good hiding.
14 nill up last week....and ended up drawing.
26..8 up this week and end up losing.
the team for me looks weak and cant last the full 80 minutes..and as for making langtree park a fortress they live in cuckoo land..if columbo simmons cant motivate them he should be shown the door...an absolute disgrace that was tonight.

It is early days but it's not just that. We've recruited very poorly and have taken another step backwards this season with the loss of Jammer and us not replacing him with another prop. Respectibility should be the goal for us this season and the club has to improve the recruitment and get the next coach appointment right.

It is very early days. As a man Royce seems a very decent bloke, as a Coach he got you to 3rd in the league & then the Grand Final, when with the number of injuries and other distractions you had 6th would not have been a bad season.

It is very very early in the season, but from the little I have seen of Saints via Sky there doesn't seem to be that 'never write the Saints off ' attitude amongst the players that you have had season after season.

In recent years you have lost Long, Sculthorpe, Eastmond, Pryce, Cunningham & Graham, and to be honest from what I have seen you haven't replaced them with players that are half the quality of the ones that have left.

At the HJ we will be in a similar situation in that by the end of this season we will probably have to find replacements for Moz, Hodgson and Briers. Players like these come don't' comer along very often.

Cant belive you saints fans didnt see this comming your first 2 games that you won was only because the teams wernt that high of calibre.The last 2 teams you have played have a little bit more bant about them and i will tell you something else its going to get worse and i for 1 is loving it

Yes, what a disaster it is to lose a few meaningless early season games... that's our entire season over with now isn't it?

Anyway, you go and **** off back to whatever backwater inbred nonentity club's board it is that you crawled from out of, and leave us Saints' fans alone to challenge for all the trophies yet again this season in peace, eh my little love?

Tis only February!!
It doesn't get serious until mid August.

I'm sure there's plenty of improvement to peak at the right time to reach a Grand Final, and then lose it again

I won't bite and take the mickey but its my opinion and my opinion is that saints will slip even further down the tank this season you all want to listen to saddened cos he is spot on

I think you are being a bit harsh there. Saints played very well for most of the game and were only just beaten in the end by a very good Catalan team that will beat alot of teams this year.
