With another new signing announced outside the front row, the likelyhood there'll not be an addition to our prop's ranks increases.

I'm sure that both Forster and Frodsham were back playing for the reserves a couple of weeks ago - is this true? Do we think either of them will be able to feature before the end of the season to test their metal?
Its Frodsham's last chance, so if he doesn't get the chance to show something by the end of the season, he'll be without a club.

Perry/TP/LMS/Laffranchi/Clough/Magennis

5 very good props and a decent prospect - as good as most clubs IMO.

I agree, but Royce's strategy of starting 3 props probably means we have more need than most in that position.

Yup, a strategy I don't agree with. I'd take a bench of three props and a utility forward over two props, a back row and a back. We have players who can fill in all over the park.

Having a back on the bench for 70 minutes is suicide against the likes of Wigan/Wire/Hudds who will look to hammer you in the pack, especially with Perry out for the season. It won't change though, and it will cost us in close games.

Agreed, especially when we've got Flannery and Soliola (and, to a degree Moore and Wilkin) who give us cover in the backs.
We start TP and perry at Prop and Laff' at 13, then a bench of
Clough, LMS, Flanaghan/Flanders and Moore looks impressive.

I think the signing of Laffranchi is more as a loose than a prop. So we will be 4 props, plus possibly megennis, frodsham .

In the end if the players play well then it will be enough. Better to have a quality 2nd rower than a poor prop.

Forster will be the answer, I've been banging on about it for a while, I know.

I expect him to make an impact next season.

I met him at the Ladies Night and he doesn't look big enough to be a prop!
