Just looked at the challenge cup results between super league clubs and championship teams. The is some massive scores by the super league teams.

Is the gap between the two leagues the biggest it's ever been?

The days of shock defeats in the challenge cup seem to be a thing of the past.

I'll take Fev! Only Swinton, Widnes are "weaker"

Leigh are top, Fev are second

Don't get me wrong, we have to take them seriously with as good as team as we can field but given a choice of them 15 sides I think we have to be happy with a home tie against one of 3 Championship teams.

I forgot about Leigh. I think fev will be a tough game. It's one of the Berger draws for us but will still be a tough one.

I would have preferred Swinton. What an easy beat for Warrington is that one.

The match today was fun! And the coverage by the Beeb was excellent.

I'd have preferred Keighley but it wasn't to be... just glad we are at "home", hopefully have a player or two back and we are switched on.

It was good today, not from a top rugby POV as there were far to many mistakes and silly penalties but it was a great atmosphere and very entertaining, had Fax stayed composed when within 4 they could have sprung an upset.

Shows how stupid the Challenge Cup is these days. A SL team would have to do something special to lose to one of the Championship sides.

Maybe if they made them play these games under olympic football rules or something, so everyone under 23 bar 4 players for the SL teams.

Interesting that Wigan and Wire didn't concede a point between them and we conceded so many.

You should read the Hudds board. Batley were down to 12 men in the second half. They were beating Hudds for most of the match. Look at the final scoreline. If Batley had had 13 players for the full game, who is to say they would not have beaten Hudds?

If Fax had not had that 10 minute total breakdown in the second half, who is to say they wouldn't have beaten Bradford?

And look at Leigh -v- Catalans ... and didn't Fax knock Cas out of the cup last year?

I think the standard of Championship rugby has gone up in recent times and I think there is every chance of an upset if certain Championship teams play certain SL teams at the right time.

I hope Saints don't see Featherstone as an easy win. I know Royce Simmons won't.

It takes something away ffrom the challenge cup with the super league sides so strong against the the championship sides.
