Whilst i'm not over the moon Eastmond is ours for the rest of the season, Hull can keep Long. I think if Kyle isn't going to be 100% focused on Saints then it would be the best possible fallback, provided Long was incentivised. For example Sean plays this season for us and if he does well he gets a deal for next season or possibly something off field if that is what he is looking to do.
I heard it mentioned Sean was at the training ground last week and also at Jon Wilkin's house, but I didn't put anything on here because I don't deal in rumours and the like.
If it's not cover for this season for an early exit for Kyle then IMO it's not worth doing. It could potentially be valuable as cover in case there just isn't anyone of sufficient quality available for next season. But if it's for next season only it's a strange one.
