He's on crutches at the moment, and was supposedly having a scan earlier today.

As long as he's back for the start of super league I don't really care.

Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. (Winston Churchill)

Re: shenton : Sun Oct 24, 2010 11:09 am
I heard it differently. I heard that he had sustained an ankle injury in the first half of the game against the Kiwis but had recovered from it enough to play in the second half. Ray French described it as an 'ankle knock', and he made the comment when Shenton made the break for the second try.

Just looked at the Sky website. Bugger.

Very disappointing - he was one of our few bright sparks yesterday.

Well, the BBC crew referred to an ankle knock that he'd recovered from but since typing the first bit of my last post I read the Sky website and found that it was a sprained ankle rather than an ankle knock. And we know what they can be like from our experience with Kyle babes.

So much about this England side remind me of Saints ala 2010, actually. Poor defence, dropping the ball, giving away penalties, no halfbacks, poor kicking game, a handful of players performing well, and one of them subsequently out injured with an ankle sprain ...
