How do you solve a problem like JT? He is one of our better attackers but his defence is a problem. Not sure why he appears to be the scapegoat though, a lot of players have been poor in defence this season, and I think it is to our detriment leaving him out of the centres for Jones. Yes, he is better defensively, but we lose a lot of threat in attack.

I feel KC is struggling with this one, as he is clearly not getting the best out of him in short bursts packing down. Needs to move back to centre and work on his defene in training.

It's not just this season tho, it's been his whole career. It's common knowledge he can't tackle and makes very poor decisions. I'm pretty sure every coach he's ever had will have tried to coach defence into him but it's clear he just can't defend.

The problem with JT playing centre is that he invites teams to attack him and that causes pressure and as shown this year on that edge it's costing us big time.

Jones has tightened that edge up, I know he missed a few there on fridsy but we've stopped leaking points on that side compared to when JT was there but the problem is next year when jones leaves. I feel KC will play Peyroux there and he's very very soft in defence and possibly worse than JT.

He was never signed as a new Paul Newlove. Indeed, very few people expected anything at all from him.

From this inauspicious beginning he's developed into one of our most effective attacking players. He scores lots of tries. He sets them up, too. He breaks the line for fun. He's also proved his versatility in the most testing of circumstances.

Even if he deserved to be made a scapegoat (IMO, he didn't) - I can think of plenty other players who should have been benched before him.

Get off the kid's back. He's more than paid his salary in performances.

That's true.

I don't think anyone in the rigkt mind would even compare them tbh. Newy was all class and JT is the normal run of the mill centre.
