watched manly beat Penrith 26-25 earlier to-day.The guy on commentary said Jamie Lyon is retiring at season end.Sometime back he said he would return to Saints but not now.He has obviosly had enough.How old will he be now 33 34ish?.Jammer said he might come back to Saints he will be a bit younger than J.L.But i don't suppose we will see Jammer again in a Saints shirt.Manly for me where a poor side in the 1st half & left it late 78 mins i think it was to win it.Mind you who can blame them for all that Bondi Beach quote Leon Price tho he prefferd Blackpool.

Lyon's 32 , he'd be 33 by the start of next season. If he did fancy it he'd be worth a 1 season deal with the option of a second maybe if nothing else to teach our current centre's something. The club would cover half his wages with shirt sales no problem.
I bet even at his age he'd rip up superleague still.

He might not be the player he was 10 yrs ago, but he'd still be one of the best players in this league

From reports, it seemed like he was getting better and better with age. Didn't he get "NRL centre of the year" last year?

I'm sure I remember Ray Warren referring to him as the best centre in the game earlier this season. He would absolutely smash it in SL if he came back now, IMO. I think that ship has sailed, though.
