St Helens head coach Nathan Brown:

"That was probably our best win of the year when you really look at it.

"Catalan have a lot of wounded people that they weren't playing with, but to lose our blokes during the course of the game made it tough for us.

"I would have thought the scoreline would have gone a little bit more our way if we didn't have to dig through it.

"It's a good sign the boys can hang in there and push through and it's great for the spirit of the club."

Fair comments. I think we would have put 50 points on them if we was disrupted with injuries.

Only having one sub is made a lot harder with a unfit Mose there.

We was lucky we got those early points on the board before our injuries.

To be fair the big man did well over 40 mins today, 30 mins in the second half. that can't have been the plan originally. Bet he'll be knackered tomorrow!

again, tbf it works, 3 and usually 4 defenders tracking him leave the opposition ranks with big holes

Catalans played fairly well and came here to create a scrappy game and slow down the plays.
Teams don,t want a free flowing game when playing Saints because of our mobilty, its an ugly win and I,m sure we will have more of these. Our positive was our attitude in having to contend with dissruption and the frustration with the man with the whistle.
