Makinson's errors aside, having watched the tries on SL Fulltime our last try does come about because of his pace joining the line. Most refreshing.

Having watched SL Fulltime myself now I thought he looked really nippy with his assist. And it was also nice to see Gaskell's assist, given the flak he's received on here since the game. I can never tell who is playing when Saints go to the far end of the pitch from the West Stand; just too far away for me to distinguish most of the players so I had no idea Gaskell had assisted in a try.

Lets face facts here. Tommy Makinson hasnt had a real run at Full Back since he came into the Saints team. I do remember he had a very good game at Wigan in 2011 Good Friday fixture when Wellens went off injured. The lad has potential there and hopefully he can have an extended run there with Wellens being injured. To many are quick to judge on here...

All our tries were good. The finish from Turner was a really good centre's try (beating yeaman in the process) and Meli did very well to get in at the corner. Its not the first time we've seen that try from laffranchi, but while it works, ts a nice little move.

Attacking wise, Turner looks pretty good close to the line. He could have some joy down that right side if he gets the service.
