I did not expect us to win but felt that it would be a two scores winning margin to you at the most.

The teams are not that different to each other that as some of your posters pointed out you might win by 30 + points.

That is the sort of thing that Wigan and leeds fans write, that they have some god given right to look down on other teams and their fans.

You wont play as bad as that all season and we might not play as well but i do not expect m,any teams to be putting 30 to 40 points on us.

I also think that if we lose Brough then our season is over

Speaking of predictions, there's nothing more predictable than that Durham Giant and Code13 will be crowing all over RLFans in the period between season kick-off and Easter.

Except that they will be noticeably less vocal once the Easter eggs have been cleared away.

Nah, definitely ungraceful. Those comments were made in a predictions thread before the game, what were you expecting when you went on there, exactly?

I'd suggest that the majority of people siting down to watch the game would have thought Saints would walk it; possibly even the players did!

The quote you highlighted in this post is kind of right, really. It's a bit 'small club mentality' if you ask me to do this. Why not just enjoy your emphatic win? Why do you feel the need to 'make a point'?

Saints fans have been graceful in defeat, I mean look at the thread on their forum. Saints fans posting congratulations etc as we realise they deserved to win.

It just seems unnecessary to make this thread.

I know, I posted a thread on the Huddersfield forum congratulating them over their victory.

But then again, they are from Yorkshire.

Confidence and arrogance are different. Saints were favourites, and were at home and on paper have the better team, why shouldn't we think we'd win? I'm sure most Saints fans were confident we'd win.

Swings and roundabouts- when it comes crashing down round our ears mid-season not one person has been on our board to gloat- honest.
I don't agree saints have a much better side, as stated by the poster above- I think our three quarter line is a match for anyone. As for the packs apart from puletua and Manu- who has taken us apart when he's played against us the last two seasons the saints pack has been nothing special- perry has never lived up to the hype. Your half back pairing is a fabulous prospect but still inexperienced both individually and as a pairing. That will change as the season goes on. Roby is your stand out player- and he wasn't noticeably on the pitch on Saturday. Roby is your brough- if he doesn't perform neither does your side.
