Re: Walmsley; I've not seen the friendlies, but the general opinion seemed to be that he looked promising, but lacking in fitness. This isn't surprising really, seeing as this his first season as a progfessional. He has had a taste of first team football now, albeit in a friendly, but now it is down to him. Work hard in training, work on his stamina and then bring him in against a perceived 'weaker pack' and see what he can do. Time is on his side.
We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.
Having spoken to someone who has worked with the lad at Batley, sounds like he is a pretty nice fella and there are high hopes that he can achieve the highest parts of the game.
In an opener against such a big pack, like Huddersfield, it would not be fair to carry anyone who may struggle to do a full 60 minutes.
It would only take an injury to Perry, then we would need the props to be doing longer stints.
