Was looking this over just because we just claimed our third consecutive win in the dying moments of a game. Of the 21 games we've played this year, 9 of them have been decided by less than one score (including two draws, two one point games and a two point game). That's nearly 50% of our games that have been in the balance more or less to the end. An indicator of increased competitiveness?

More to do with our inability to kill games off.

Would be interesting to compare it with the 96 season when we often built a lead, then let the opposition in, before finally squeezing home. That was when we grew the confidence to never give up, which served us well for many years and trophys. Our current struggles will also build confidence in this young side

Good point that on the game against Hull KR but we have to give some credit somewhere surely? I mean the home Catalans game we should have buried and we threw it away. That shouldn't mean though that the loss was solely down to us. Go back in time and I've seen us coast like that and not been threatened before. Now, it seems, teams are much better equipped at converting momentum into points if a team switches off for a moment.
