Hasn't that Wigan side won a Suoer League title and Challenge Cup in the last 2 years??.... :?

Barring Leeds, they are probably the most experienced side in the league at present, big-game wise.

Give over. Many of them are still kids. Are you seriously expecting me to believe that if after your, say, tenth first team game you win the SL Grand Final you are suddenly a fully experienced SL pro?

Who were these 'kids' they had out on Friday night.....All were experienced Super League players.

Some were young, I give you that, but don't lack experience.....Wire probably had more lesser-experienced players in their 17.

You CAN'T be young and experienced. It's impossible.

Experience is a product of age.

Can't say I agree tbh. We have some young players like all teams but they've played in plenty of big games now against big sides.

The lack of composure shown wasn't coming from guys like Charnley, Farrell, Tuson or Flower but rather from players that should know better in Leuluai and Lauaki.

Composure and a negative mindset lost us the game rather then a lack of experience.

Good post.....They say great sides know how to win when playing poorly and being second best for most of the game - What about teams who lose despite being the better side??....

Umm it's probably not a good sign but we can't fix a couple of issues up pretty quickly with the first being to drop Lauaki until he grows a brain.

The second I want is to see us move Leuluai back in to hooker. I'm not overly fussed if it's Mellor or Tomkins going in to stand off but Leuluai hasn't got the skills required to play 7 for us. He's a world class 9 but an ordinary 7.

Young Matty Russell going in at 1 and Tomkins at 6 would be scary in attack.

Rogues, Your right we missed him when he was off the field. he was used wrong by Wane. Fatigue is the only reason he went off!! He needs to control when and where to use this aggression.

I believe we have a gem in Micky, but Wane needs to utilize him better with Tommy.

Again, just because a kid has played in plenty of big games - this does not mean he is experienced.

To be honest, there is no such thing as a "fully experienced" pro. Experience grows with games played. A player in his final season before retirement is still learning. Or he should be. It's perfectly possible for him to encounter a scenario he has no experience of whatsoever and make a mistake. Only after such can he adapt his game so not to make it again.

So Wire, who are constantly mocked for being an aging side, are actually doing the right thing, by packing their side with 'experience'??.....

I see no reason to knock age and experience - provided it is backed up with ability.

Indeed, I'd say that's the optimum combination for any team.
