Nah. Pete wussed out!
I went though. It was a good day. Loads of Saints fans turned out. Well impressed I was.
The first half was dire - for the usual reasons (dropped ball by the senior players and stupid penalties including a march back 10ms care of James Graham!). The second half was totally different. I don't think we dropped the ball once and consequently we got to grips with things.
It was great to see so many of our young players out there today. And Carl Forster finally got his debut in! My MoM was Wheeler. He was caught out of position in goal line defence a couple of times but that's to be expected as he has been playing in the halves in the u20s and hasn't played a senior match since Easter. But he showed great footwork, great hands and worked very hard. An example of just how good he is was the occasion he was the only player to realise that the ball was loose over the line and Quins could have scored had he not kicked it away. I love it when he's on the pitch as he sees things a lot of our other players (seniors included) either don't see or are too caught up with doing other stuff to cover.
