Double Movement?? : Thu Jul 28, 2011 7:11 pm
Just been watching the Championship game with featherstone and Sheffield. The try that has just been given seams a little unfair to me and I've thought this for some time. But that was just an exagerated example.
If you are sliding for the line and you are short, if you have a man on you, you can't lift your arms and put the ball down as it's a double movement. However I've noticed alot recently people over the line, tackled and will not have grounded the ball, but yet they can lift and lower their arms almost indefinatley until the try is scored.
Surely this too is a double movement?
It seams double standards in that once over the line you can wiggle and squirm for ages until the ball is grounded. Surely once tackled over the line, if the ball is up, it's up and you should not be able to spend seconds trying to find a gap to hit the ground.
Thoughts?????
