Injury update 28 June : Tue Jun 28, 2011 4:16 pm  

Haven't had one of these for a week or two so I thought I'd treat everyone.

Shenton is going to be named in the 19 but is 'highly doubtful', according to Saints official twitter.

NO FRESH INJURIES!!!

Yay!

However, no sign of Paul Clough either.

Nope.

Last I heard they were both 'about three weeks' away from returning, but they've both been about three weeks away from returning for weeks now, so frankly I'd be surprised if we saw either of them in the redvee this season. We already know Ade is out for the season, although he is looking very handsome in his boot.

After some admittedly crazy stories early on I think its been fairly consistent news lately:

June 9th Pryce and Wheeler where 'around' 4 weeks away
June 16th Pryce running curves, Wheeler had a small setback
June 23rd Pryce and Wheeler 'around' 3 weeks away

We'll see what Thursday's news brings this time, but I'd be surprised if it is not a similar story.

I'm expecting Pryce to come back in July, possibly before the cup game (if he is still at the club) and Wheeler shortly afterwards.

Given the clubs media release on June 23rd the specialist said 4 weeks for Clough and Simmons had said 2 I think this week is probably a game early for him, on Simmons word he'd only have been looking at the Wakefield game at the earliest.

Leon said on twitter he'll play either next week at Wakefield or definietly the Catalan game week after. Wheeler back in 3 weeks, started contact training this week and Clough back for Wakefield.

Wheeler will comeback for 3 games then he'll get injured and won't see him until the start of the 2012 season.
