As a Leeds fan I thought Gaskell was superb and MOM tonight. Lomax was also great and did some fantastic work once you were on top but Gaskell controlled the game. For a young kid he has great poise and already looks the real deal

He was my MOM too, some say he does not take the line on enough, but I just think some players stand out because they have a high energy running style that attracts the eye. Gaskell for me just lets others shine. He is a huge kicker, but more than that, he finds the space and hits the floor with his kicks. He does run at the line, but also picks well timed passes. There is just something about him I like.

You don't have to take the line on to be a great player if you have the runners around you. But when he does decide to take it on, he has a great try scoring return.

For two young kids, Gaskell and Lomax have massive, massive potential.

I agree with this totally. I think Gaskell is a very understated player. Because he doesn't have flash - like Eastmond and now Lomax - some people don't think he's very good but he was doing wonderful things all over the place tonight. To kick that 40/20 just when we needed it, because we were hemmed in, showed insight and confidence. He also organised the defence to push their winger into touch, and he was calling the players over. His kicks always find the ground and he seems to know when to put in a high one, when a long one. He can also aim well across field for the tryline. I was very impressed with Gaskell tonight and I'm glad those at the Stobart voted him MoM. He was mine certainly.

When Gaskell matures he'll be lethal taking on the line. You can tell just by his frame (tall and athletic - exactly the physique Australians look for in the halves) and style of play. He's not far away from making clean breaks but just lacks that extra bit of muscle to squeeze through.

He does have a little quickness about him too, he may not have an explosive running style, but his long legs get him across the ground quickly. Wasn't he the fella to get to our kick off at Salford, recover the ball and score. Bit like getting into the line for the intercept on Sinfield.

Not saying he's a 100m sprinter, but he ain't no slouch either.
