I think Graham has allready told our Board of Directors that he is signing for Canterbury. I would think we are looking for a replacement allready. I would imagine a announcement will come after the Easter Programme.
That was Graham at his best yesterday. And that's saying something given his injury. He lead from the front, took the hits and put some in and made real good decisions for when to take the tackle and when to offload.
That kinda performance will be something we are going to miss. But luckily our other gem Roby is signed up nicely. Considering that was not our core team, if Graham and TP can lead like our crocked team against the champs, then any decent replacement should be able to do just as good with a fit squad.
I'm still hopefull of keeping TP. There has been no serious noises from clubs in the NRL and there is only the usual wire rumour mill that occurs every year about every decent player.
If we keep TP and lose graham it will be a loss, but our team will still look pretty solid next year and we still don't know who the board have in mind to cover the gaps yet. Probably because they don't know what the gaps will be until TP confirms.
I'd be happy with a pack of LMS, Perry, Clough, TP + one other prop. It's still a strong set up and the purchase of LMS was probably because we saw the writting on the wall for Graham and he may have been kind enough to let the board be aware of his intentions, so they could plan ahead.
So far we have only signed Lance, with Graham, Pryce, TP and Eastmond all likely to leave that should leave a huge chunk of our cap free.
No need to buy in to replace pryce IMO, we have enough halfbacks when they are fit. Eastmond has been replaced, so who ever comes in for GRaham and TP could be on a share of Graham and Pryce's wages.
Ideal would be to keep em both, it would be lovely to keep TP, but even the worst case senario does not leave us with a terrible side.
