Blair is obvious stand out player. I cannot believe that he would not get offered silly money to stay in the NRL so he is not a realistic target.

Widdop is a top young player. So hopefully McManus has talked with him already about coming over. I hope that Michael Maguire doesn't get his hooks into him, this is unlikely as he is not an Aussie so therefore he won't rate him. Widdop would be my number 1 target.

Looking at others then it depends on what we after. If we want a half back then Seymour is the only number 7 I can see (apart from Sandow who I think is over rated and will not leave Souths anyway). Ben Roberts is a great player who is very under rated but he is a stand off, which we have enough of. There are a few good backs at Manly like Robertson, Foran and Stewart who are all pretty good. Joel Reddy at Parra could also be a good option.

When it comes to props (a position we will likely need a new signing) then I have always liked Trent Waterhouse, a good all round rugby player. Brent Kite is a good player with international experience. Luke Bailey is still a great player but he would be a long shot.

He's been playing at 6 in the first team this season and apparently is looking very good there.

Ditto. Props and a fast outside back should be on our list. Unless we can get a top Aussie/NZ half Id stick with what we've got In that department.

EDIT:Id Love Blair but he will be able to earn far more over there than we can offer him.

Bit of a typo there. What I was trying to say was I hope Maguire doesnt use his Melbourne connections to convince him to become a Pie.

Maybe it wasn't a typo may it was subconscious?!?! I knew going to the WCC in the hospitality was a bad idea. Hangers on like Gregory, Gildart, Lucas and Clark floating about. I had to have a shower with some ajax and a brillo pad when I got home. It looks like it may have left long term damage!!!

Next thing I will be hovering out with 20 mins to go and only sing one chant. Eak!!!
