Saints Nostalgia Floodlights and foreigners : Fri Oct 01, 2010 7:17 pm
Just looking through some old programmes from the 50's and 60's including some good friday and boxing day games against Wigan. One programme that caught my eye was a Saints V Other Nationalities 27th Jan 1965.
The other nationalities team included Billy Boston, Valentine from Huddersfield amongst others, it also states in the programme that this match was due to be the first floodlit game at KR as Lord Derby, Sir Harry Pilkington and Greenhall Whitley & Co were all involved in funding the floodlight project.
Anybody know if this is true about the floodlights and also this must be a sentimental programme for the history of KR?
Just for Rogues and other old timers the teams were
