He didn't get involved enough for it to be a great debut, that was probably more down to Gilmour than him.

He was solid enough, but he didn't do anything that Hardman or McGilvary didn't during their time with us.

Not sure about that - for me Hardman always looked crap on the wing McGilvary looked solid if unspectacular though.

I can't agree with you there, both looked solid if unspectacular.

Hardman was never that crap, he'd never have got so many games if he had been.

I always liked Hardman, but just as Briscoe had Radlinski stopping his progress at Wigan so Harman had Wellens in front of him at Saints.
