Just watched 2guns 6.5/10 does exactly what it says on the tin .
Going to watch Rush later tonight I'm hoping it's as good as I'm hoping it will be

Elysium 8 - While I enjoyed the film, I really hated the South African's accent and Jodie Foster's performance. Pretty weak story TBH but I still enjoyed it.

The Hobbit 2. 8.5 really enjoyed it.

Ok it was a complete bastardisation of the Hobbit story but putting that aside it was really well done, well paced and with a great cliffhanging ending.

My only Gripe is that i had to see it on IMAX 3D due to listings times.
Has anyone seen ANY film that was enhanced by being 3D because i havent.

Gravity - I have only seen it in 3D, but simply can't imagine it being the same spectacle in standard 2D.... To be honest, I can't imagine it being the same watching at home - If ever a film was made for 3D AND being watched on the big screen, then its Gravity.

Its the closest thing to a theme park ride at the cinema, that you will ever experience.

Agreed, Gravity worked well in 3D, I can imagine in 6 months time a bunch of people watching it on their 40" 2D TV and thinking what utter "tosh" it is.

I watched it on a 10 inch tablet. Still looked awesome to me.

Anchorman 2 - 2/10 - So bad I gave up and left the theatre, line up this week in 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle, gotta love screener season

Starship Troopers - somehow, I convinced myself that this was a subversive, politically leaning actioner with plenty of gratuitous violence and some boobs; turns out, with the benefit of hindsight and through my cynically jaded CGI sodden eyes, it's just crap. With terrible acting. Even from Clancey Brown.

5/10 - dated.
