So the squads have been announced, ours in unchanged. Will we have more luck down the lane this year than last? Given their squad, even though they always raise their game to play us, if we don't win comfortably then it will only add to the problems we have. Interesting that Salford are at home to Leigh and Giants are at London this week so both could win.
Got to agree there. Sit back and let them come onto us and we'll get beat as they'll raise their game for their annual cup final, it's all that matters in their strange little lives.
Looking at the squads though, it's the poorest Cas have chucked out in quite some years, and if we can't turn that over then we certainly do have some problems of our own.
You would think we win this one although I thought that last season and look what happened. There`s no reason why we shouldn`t be winning our next 5 games if we run hard and tackle hard which seems to be the Rohan Smith mantra. I would be disappointed if we don`t get 10 points and slightly forgiving if we get 8 of those 10.
One game at a time for me. After the last performance, it's not looking good if we don't win this.
Listening to Smith's pre-match interviews, there are signs that the penny is dropping - he realises that the team need to adapt (including using the same tactics other teams use to slow us down), and that fans expect results.
These things aren't won on paper. Last year's team would in all probability go and lose this one. It's a real test of the changes made, our mental resolve after two deflating losses, and the degree to which the culture really is better this season. Individually and collectively they need to show something, but I'm not feeling confident to be honest.

Couple of cas fans go in the local pub. Apparently they are confident they will win, certainly last season we were poor. Realistically we should triumph but our forwards will have to be up for this game.
We are pretty much at full strength, apart from sick note. There are literally no excuses. I expect a strong performance on the front foot, hopefully for the majority of the 80. Leeds by 24.

Wouldn't disagree. If we're looking at all at top 6, never mind anything else, a min 4 score win here is the sort of result we should be (need to be?) looking to deliver.
