Its just the same people, doing the same thing.

It's a very slight change. But the game needs new coverage from new people completely.

But then again RL fans would absolutely destroy any new presenter and/or commentators with their dreary demeanor.

Thing is Wilkin is actually (I'm loath to say this) quite decent. Just in small doses. Comes across on tele as very personable and excited about the game.

Tbf, you cant blame him for some of the hyperbole that comes forth watching his ex-team dominate as they have done for last 4/5 years. He just needs to learn to control some of those tendencies and focus more on the game but I'd rather have him over Clarke who disappeared into his own orifices long ago.

There needs to be a shift in the professional northerner gimmick that currently is in play and get a decent studio lead with maybe 1 ex-player from either side in the studio and studio only. And 2/3 good quality callers max on the broadcast instead of the 96 they have on the gantry now all chiming in over each other

Mark Chapman is on a different level as a broadcaster and Sky should be doing what they can to get him on board. Wilkin is OK in small doses and he is prepared to be critical when appropriate. I don't mind the Irishman either but he is not in Chapman's world. Claire Balding would be good as would Tanya Arnold.

Barry/Terry/Noble/Kear/Paul/Peacock/JJB all need to retire and the presentation of the game needs a fresh look. Wilson is an excellent commentator so a positive. Woods is also a good communicator so a good addition.
