At least Hurrell has managed to get on to the field more often than not. If there's been a disaster signing, IMO Tetevano has been worse value this season. He will need a big season in 2022.

Best of luck konny a great personality.
I think saints are the fittest team in the league and Konrad is going to have one hell of of a job getting back to keep onside in the line.
Game changer when fitt but struggles with ball retention and defending,

Leeds’s need a pacy winger maybe two a blockbusting centre and another top prop.
Don’t want much do I.

Hurrel posted in Instagram that he’ll be back soon so may well see him in a Leeds shirt once or twice again

We could do with one or two of our big-name players back and fit before the play offs start I think. You need those x-factor players in the big games who can create something from nothing.

A winger will probably be year after to next.Sutcliffe Broadbent and Newman will be vying for the centre spots. We also have Hall and Edwards waiting for their chance.I slightly disagree about prop i think we need two not one.

It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

I think one more front line prop (not a project) and Muizz would work.

One is definitely a must not overly convinced about Muizz.

If we push Tet up front more; Mik, Holroyd, Prior, Tet is not a bad set with Smith at 13.

One more high-quality addition gives us the flexibility to swap Prior or Tet back to 13 if needed, and gives cover for inevitable injuries.

Everyone else has said it too but we need a really strong ball carrier who can punch holes in the opposition. That would take a lot of pressure off the young players and hopefully allow a more even spread of the work, and lessen the risk of injuries.

At this stage in our development and title-winning ambition, I just do not see the point of any more senior squad-filler signings. We have some great young players at the club. We already have Austin, Myler, Donaldson, Thompson and maybe even Mellor without an obvious starting place next year.

"Brian McDermott, with a wry smile, nods when asked if he remembers a specific incident which made him realise he was a prick. 'I do', he murmurs."

Re: OUT 2022 | Konrad Hurrell - St Helens : Tue Sep 07, 2021 9:01 am
It's really hard to balance quality with quantity but we should aim to reap the benefit of the young players on relatively low salaries over the next couple of years.

With the attrition rates we've seen this year it looks like the club is really aiming to have quality cover in all positions next year, not least at half back where injuries in 2021 have essentially destroyed our season.
