gannon showed more promise than walters who looks like a young morley without the speed or aggression

Just need some rotation, rather than making do with 2nd rowers on bench.

I guess they think the new rules have sped the game up and they need more athletic players, but I'd rather tire out opposing defenses with battering rams.
said this for a while only need 1 or 2 props out and look very light

Talking of resilience shown last night, Agar has to show tonnes of it putting up with Peter smiths repeating of questions already been asked on these zoom calls and dealing with his turgid style. How Agar refrains from smashing his laptop or at the very least putting Smith on mute I don't know.

I don't think playing Harry twice in three days after such a bad injury is wise, asking for re-injury.

Furthermore, if we play a full side on Sun and then lose, we are then stuck with a busted side trying to win there 3rd match in 8 days whereas we are good enough to rest a couple who require it so that we have a more refreshed side for Cas too. I would only be resting Prior and Newman that being said. Constantly overplaying players will not bring success either.

That is 4 props in the starting pack? You also want two on rotation from the bench? That is crazy, firstly I don’t think there are enough quality props about to do it and secondly you do need some balance to your pack. Tetevano is simply not suited to play out wide as a back row. He is an international and NRL grand final winning prop, so play him at prop. If you class 13 as a middle we have Mik, Zane, prior, Holroyd, king and C Smith. Maybe we need another prop but for me it is a maybe, if somebody became available not a we must go out and sign another prop as our main priority.

Isn’t that the same for any club?

Take dudson and Kasiano out of Catalans and they look a bit light
Take walmsley and Lees out of Saints they look a bit light
Take hill and Cooper out of Warrington they look a bit light

We can’t have 10 props in the squad who are all decent players because they will all want to play. If we need some back up we need to look at some younger development players who get a couple of games a season if we get an injury. Not spending loads of cap on players who might only play if we have a couple of props out.

Totally agree its all about balance. I'm comfortable with our props now plus Thompson can fill in. I would replace Thompson when he is off contract with an out out prop.

He confirmed it on his Instagram he's done for this season. Which is a shame, he's been very consistent last month or so as well I like Mellor as a back rower does his job might not look flashy every week but is consistent and strong player for me.

We shouldn't have signed him in the first place and gone for that all-out prop IMO. We got seduced because he was available and cheap.
