Absolutely no issues with this for me.

Sinfield is a club legend yes, but i honestly look at this differently. This kind of position doesn’t have to be someone in the clubs hero’s list for me. I’d be happy if Agar moved up to this position as i actually him think he would be good at this, with then bringing someone in at head coach.

If Kev wants to try something new then he should and fair play to him.

However 2 things.

Losing someone like Kev to RU is a big blow to RL

That article seems very low on actual information to me, they may well want to try and get him on board but that means nothing really.

Kev has done enough for the club to do he what wants in my book. I'd be surprised if we have to wait very long to hear if there is any truth in it. The RL Press will be asking the question at every opportunity this week.

It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

I want to win the lottery but it doesn’t mean its going to happen.

"Brian McDermott, with a wry smile, nods when asked if he remembers a specific incident which made him realise he was a prick. 'I do', he murmurs."

I don't think so tbh. Losing him as a player, yes. Him wasting the year after his retirement turning out in front of 500 at Headingley was just pointless, but if he'd gone earlier it would have been a tragic waste of talent.

As an administrator however he hasn't really proven much so far, notwithstanding last year's cup win. It might mess up the club's succession planning a bit but in terms of running the club the loss of Hetherington would be grievous whereas Sinfield as DOR could be relatively easily replaced.

Kevin Sinfield is probably one of the most well known people to do with RL, him going to do anything in RU would be a loss to the game, we’ve lost far too many hight profile people to RU in my opinion.

This would make headline news (sports wise) and it wouldn’t look good for RL

Imo

Kev has more than earned the right to do whatever he thinks is best; however on face value it would be a blow to lose him.

It’s hard enough to rebuild the club but actually having some consistency of direction isn’t a bad thing for a while.

I don’t feel his work is finished but if he feels a change is right - then it probably is. We will see.

Don't underestimate the weight his name carries. I know money talks when signing players, but remember what Tetevano said when he signed...

"We'd just finished the season at Penrith when I got the phone call Kev was pretty keen to have us at Leeds," recalled Tetevano, who still had a year to run on his Panthers contract.

"When you get a phone call from Kevin Sinfield, what are you going to do? You go: 'Frick, man - this is the G.O.A.T. of Super League'.

We all know that the game needs to pull it's finger out to survive. For me, we need more former players involved at all levels. There's no doubting Kev's intelligence and passion for the club and the sport. For mine, he's what we need. He's not without fault since taking up the job, hut you can see he's developing. Get the right coach under him and I think we're on the brink of another successful period
